Your GPS may say “You have arrived.” But if your car is still on pavement, you have not. At the edge of the cul-de-sac on Weston Woods Road, you will see a sign for the lavender farm at the start of a dirt road. Follow this long and bumpy dirt road to the end. When you think you’ve gone too far, you haven’t. Just keep going by following the arrows tacked to the tree trunks. Drive slowly to protect the farm’s dogs and your car. Then, when you really have arrived, it’s a short walk to view the farm and woods. Even in late June to mid-July (harvest and peak bloom time), the Cape Cod Lavender Farm may require only a short visit, but what a pretty visit. Started in 1995 with 400 seedlings, the farm now has 7,000 lavender plants. This small farm is nestled in the woods and surrounded by 75 acres of conservation land with walking trails. You can buy all kinds of lavender products in the farm’s shop, including several varieties of lavender plants and even bunches of fresh cut lavender at harvest time. When you leave the Cape Cod Lavender Farm, you do not go back the same way (though some have tried).
